After her marriage ended, Mala was struggling to manage her finances and was unable to take up extra hours at her workplace. When Mala found a suitable new property for her family, she did not have the available money to cover all costs for the move. GroceryAid awarded a financial grant to enable Mala and her children to settle into their new home.
To support with this transition Mala was also provided family counselling for herself and her two children, which gave them all coping strategies and a way to communicate about how they were feeling.
