GroceryAid events deliver much more than vital fundraising. They create opportunities to bring the industry together to build relationships, meet key commercial contacts, showcase brands and products, create new business opportunities and reward your teams, delivering long term return for your business for the investment made.

Sporting Lunch

13 November

Sporting Lunch is GroceryAid’s longest running event and one of the most popular in our calendar, attracting more than 1,200 guests year on year.

Come and enjoy an afternoon of incredible entertainment with appearances and discussions from your favourite sporting heroes. Previous attendees include Sir Mo Farah, Roy Hodgson CBE, Lauren Steadman MBE, Rebecca Adlington OBE and, most recently, Sir Andrew Strauss, Ellie Kildunne, Billy Monger, Ben Youngs, Christine Ohuruogu MBE, Ellen White and Sir Jason Kenny.

Tesco Glitz Ball

18 November

Returning to Battersea Evolution, London, on Wednesday 18th November 2026, the Tesco Glitz Ball offers the perfect opportunity to connect with Tesco leadership and commercial teams in a spectacular out-of-office setting.

With a delicious menu, a silent auction featuring exclusive prizes, and jaw-dropping live entertainment, Tesco Glitz Ball promises to be a memorable evening of celebration as we approach the end of the year.

Sainsbury's Big Bash

03 December

What better way to kickstart festive celebrations and round out the year than with the Sainsbury’s Big Bash? Returning to Battersea Evolution in London for 2026, this spectacular evening brings together Sainsbury’s colleagues and suppliers for a night of celebration, connection and giving back.

Attended by over 1,700 guests, the night raises vital funds for GroceryAid and Comic Relief. In 2025, it raised an incredible £1,624,667. There will be live performances throughout the evening, and guests will also be treated to a bespoke menu created in collaboration with Sainsbury’s innovation chefs.

GroceryAid Ball

11 March

The GroceryAid Ball brings the industry together at London’s iconic JW Marriott Grosvenor House for an unforgettable night of recognition, connection and entertainment.

This is more than a great night out. It's a chance to celebrate the people and businesses making a difference across our industry.

NEW for 2027, GroceryAid Award winners will take centre stage as we recognise the supporters whose commitment has helped us reach and support more grocery workers. Gold Award winners will be celebrated on the night.

Morrisons Big Night Out

15 April

The Morrisons Big Night Out will be returning to the Yorkshire Event Centre in Harrogate next year. Join over 1,500 guests and immerse yourself in a Morrisons brand experience, while raising money for GroceryAid and Morrisons second charity partner.

06 May

Join boatloads of Co-op and industry colleagues as we take to Lake Windermere for a ten-mile row. Then, with the hard work behind you, enjoy an evening of networking and celebration at Low Wood Bay Resort.

The Waitrose & Partners Garden Party is one of the most inspiring and hotly anticipated events of the calendar, with 1,500 guests gathering in Henley-on-Thames. It’s a beautiful setting for networking, strengthening industry relationships, and raising money for GroceryAid, Trussell and FareShare.

Booker Dragon Boat Race

10 June

Returning to the stunning backdrop of Bisham Abbey, join over 40 teams as you row down the River Thames to the beat of the drum. Throughout the day there will be sponsor activations, entertainment, a BBQ, the all-important prize giving, and a chance to network. Each boat takes ten people – you can purchase one team of five or one team of ten. And you can also invite your Booker colleague to join your boat for the day.

Barcode Festival

Barcode Festival is an extra-ordinary event that provides a unique opportunity to showcase products to thousands of industry colleagues, including senior commercial contacts, increase connections, catch-up with friends and reward colleagues with a ticket to the ultimate music festival.

This is the industry’s biggest grocery event in the calendar and arguably the most important place to get your brand and business seen for the year ahead.

In 2026, colleagues from Co-op and across the grocery industry came together for an evening of recognition, entertainment, and community spirit, raising vital funds for Barnardo’s, GroceryAid & Co-op’s chosen FRTS charities. Next year, the celebration will be returning to the UK’s only music-first arena the incredible Co-op Live in Manchester, designed to deliver an unbeatable experience.

With live performances, a delicious three-course meal, an exciting auction packed with fantastic prizes, and moments of true recognition, it promises to be a night to remember as we celebrate the pioneers across the Co-op family.

Asda Tickled Pink Ball

14 October

Celebrate with us at the Asda Tickled Pink Gala Ball. It is a highlight of the Asda calendar and a sell-out event every year. Together we’ll raise vital funds for Asda’s charity partners, Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel!, while also supporting the fantastic work GroceryAid does for colleagues and families impacted by breast cancer.
