One-to-one Counselling

Time and space to talk things through.

If things have been feeling difficult for a while, one-to-one counselling can give you the chance to explore how you’re feeling with a qualified professional.

Support is available for things like stress, anxiety, low mood and depression, with counselling shaped around what feels right for you.

How counselling works

The first step is to call our Helpline where they will talk you through a short assessment to understand what support may be most helpful for you.

Depending on your needs, this could include:

  • structured counselling
  • digital Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • referral to another service if that would be more appropriate
  • The Helpline also offers in the moment support

You can choose between in-person or virtual counselling, depending on what feels most comfortable and works best for you.

Who can access counselling?

Counselling is available to current and former grocery colleagues, as well as their spouse or partner and any dependants over 16 living in the same household.

If you have a dependant or child under 16, they can access support through relate.

*WhatsApp is used to share information, make initial contact, and arrange callbacks. It is not suitable for counselling support due to the limitations of the platform and the nature of text-based conversations. For clients who cannot communicate verbally, including those who are hearing impaired, support is available through live chat or video calls with chat and captioning features, which can be arranged once initial contact has been made.
