Emotional/ Counselling Support

GroceryAid offers a wide range of support services for people struggling with stress, anxiety, low mood or depression.

We know that life can be challenging and if you’re experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood or depression don’t be afraid to ask for help.

In the moment emotional support from our BACP accredited counsellors 24/7 365 days a year from our free confidential Helpline. Structured counselling by telephone or face to face is available subject to a counselling assessment.

Services available to you

Face to Face Counselling

  • For those who need a more in-depth approach to mental wellbeing
  • Structured and solution focused
  • Up to six sessions face to face counselling at a location of your choice, close to home or work (currently web cam based)
  • Continuity of all sessions with the same counsellor

Telephone Counselling

  • For those who need a more in-depth approach to mental wellbeing
  • Structured and solution-focused
  • Up to six sessions of 1-2-1 telephone counselling if you are unable to attend a face to face session
  • Continuity of all sessions with the same counsellor
  • Available to colleagues over 18

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Aimed at helping you develop alternative ways of thinking and behaving to improve mental health
  • Seven structured online sessions
  • Offers an anonymous, safe and secure space for users to learn and develop
  • Supported by a trained adviser 

Eligibility criteria and requirements:

  • Available to all current and former grocery colleagues, their spouses, partners and dependents
  • As with any form of counselling offered through GroceryAid, an assessment will be completed before access to these services is made available.
