We know life can be challenging, so we offer a range of support services for anyone struggling with stress, anxiety, low mood or depression. If you’re experiencing any of these things don’t be afraid to ask for help.
The best place to start is our free confidential Helpline. We have BACP accredited counsellors available 24/7, 365 days a year for emotional support when you need it most.

After an initial assessment they may also offer structured counselling over the phone, or face to face.
How we can help
Face-to-Face Counselling
- For anyone who needs in-depth support for their mental wellbeing
- Up to six sessions of face-to-face counselling at a location of your choice or online
- All sessions will be with the same counsellor
Telephone Counselling
- For anyone who is unable to attend face-to-face counselling
- Up to six sessions of 1-2-1 telephone counselling
- All sessions will be with the same counsellor
- Available to colleagues over 18
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Aimed at helping you develop alternative ways of thinking and behaving to improve mental health
- Seven structured online sessions
- You will be supported by a trained adviser
- Offers an anonymous, safe and secure space for you to learn and develop
Are you eligible?
- Help is available to all current and former grocery colleagues, their spouses, partners and dependents
- As with any form of structured counselling, you’ll need to complete an assessment to access these services to make sure it is right for your circumstances
- For structured counselling the Counsellor may work within any framework (integrative/humanistic/psychodynamic) so long as it is suitable for short-term structured work
