We are delighted to share GroceryAid’s Impact Report for 2024/25 which shows growing demand for our financial, emotional and practical support and highlights the impact we make to thousands of colleagues across the sector. In total we spent more than £6.5million supporting colleagues in 2024/25.
As well as providing more than 139,000 incidents of colleague support (a 76% increase on the previous year), the £6.5m spend included helping 6,667 children go back to school in September 2024 with the right equipment and clothing, through our School Essentials Grant.
Our free and confidential Helpline saw a 3% increase in calls from colleagues looking for emotional and practical support, and qualified counsellors provided more than 5,300 in-the-moment counselling sessions to colleagues throughout the year.
We also saw a 60% increase in colleagues accessing legal advice, and over 1,900+ colleagues accessed online self-help and CBT guided sessions.
