Nicky is on long term sickness from her grocery employment, and her husband Steve is her main carer. Due to increasing financial difficulties, Steve continues to work whilst caring for Nicky, and their eldest daughter Jennie helps when he is not there.
During a call with our Carers Support Team, Nicky told specialists that her family had been advised to leave their current home due to rent arrears. GroceryAid provided Nicky with a one-off, non-repayable financial grant to help the family during this difficult time, plus put them in contact with Shelter who helped them to locate a suitable property.

“Receiving the email from GroceryAid has made a horrific day with no place to go, a happy day. I cannot find the words to thank you and your organisation. These funds will enable us to have some breathing space. Thank you so very much. Your help is invaluable to my family. Thank you. A thousand times thank you.”
