No fuss support that fits the bill

Thank you on behalf of my parents.

We receive hundreds of thank you cards every year from grocery people we have been able to help. Below is a letter from a daughter on behalf of her parents explaining how GroceryAid was able to help them in their time of need.

"Dear GroceryAid,

On behalf of my parents, I would like to say a huge thank you for the stairlift you recently had fitted for us. GroceryAid has again come to their aid with no fuss, just direct practical action. Dad suffered a stroke at age 49 and was no longer able to work.Man and daughter 400px.jpg

Having spent all of his career working in a bakery this was a huge shock.

I had contacted social services as my Mum needed help caring for him, particularly as he was really struggling to get up the stairs unaided. I knew that getting a stairlift could take such a long time (up to a year) but we couldn't wait that long, especially as my Mum was literally having to stand behind Dad and push him up the stairs, which was very dangerous.

I can't believe the speed in which you acted. One simple phone call began the process and within four weeks a stairlift had been fitted, it was amazing.

Mum is also now using it as she has started to have problems with her heart and arthritis. I am truly so appreciative of your help and support. I hope that the people who work so hard to raise funds realise the real impact they make to people's lives and how much comfort they bring to those in difficulty. Please do pass on our thanks and praise to the selfless volunteers who have given their time to help make others' lives easier."
