Grocery colleagues on target at GroceryAid President’s Clay Pigeon Shoot

A record £113,000 was raised at the event on Friday 20th September at E.J. Churchill Shooting Ground

President's shoot

Over 140 colleagues from 40 companies across the industry came together to support the President’s Clay Pigeon Shoot and raise a record amount for GroceryAid.  The day was hosted by the charity’s president Andrew Higginson with the support of Tesco Category Director Mark Suddaby and his Tesco colleagues across all categories.

Competition on the day was fierce with Rachel Wallen from Molson Coors taking the Individual Top Shot trophy, Cranswick coming first in the team event and Prepared and Frozen Foods wining the Category Cup.

GroceryAid’s president, Andrew Higginson commented, “The shoot is a great event, very informal but pretty competitive too!  It was a good opportunity to catch up with colleagues and for those attending to spend time with senior retail buyers. I was delighted to see such support from the industry for GroceryAid.”

A huge thank you to all the companies that donated food and drink to the event: Addo Food Group, Arla, Aston Manor, Cranswick, Diageo, Greencore, G’s Fresh, Hilton Foods, Kopparberg, Mars, Marston’s, Moet Hennessy, Nice Drinks, Noble Foods, Premier Foods, Seachill and Warburtons.

The event will return next year on Friday 25th September 2020.  For details of how to get involved contact
