Having a career can be such a large part of people’s everyday life, so when taking a break from work due to illness, redundancy or caring for a relative it can be difficult to get back into the process of finding a new job.
GroceryAid in partnership with Renovo can offer guidance and support through this critical time with the JobSearch support programme. It’s confidential and tailored to your needs, goals and available to those who have worked in the grocery industry and could be looking to get back into work after redundancy, illness or caring for a relative. The program offers direction, structure, and guidance to individuals in their search in what is one of the toughest markets to get back into.
82% of participants supported are back into work within just 3 months
Myles knew of GroceryAid having attended fundraising events during his 15-year sales career with companies such as Dairy Crest, Grace Foods & Premier Foods. In 2018, following redundancy from a SME who didn't provide outplacement support, Myles contacted the GroceryAid Helpline to access the Renovo back to work help.
“I could not speak highly enough of the work GroceryAid does and of the positive impact it has had on my own life. Years of experience in the industry does not necessarily qualify you as a specialist in job searches. Engaging a great mentor, accessing the various web platforms that Work Friend offers, and simply having a voice at the end of the phone was extremely encouraging when the market was flat or that one particular interview just didn’t go your way.”
More than 50,000 people have returned to work twice as fast as the national industry average through the outplacement services
Renovo’s Work Friend portal ensures people a quick return to work through the resources given. It includes access to video, audio, and written resources as well as a wide range of interactive tools and online workshops to help people streamline their job search.
If you know someone that could benefit from the back to work services, then please share our Helpline with them. A simple call to our Helpline is all it takes to ensure the right help can be given to those in need.
