Arla Foods UK - In July 2017 colleagues at Arla enjoyed a competitive game of 11-a-side football, raising £200 for GroceryAid. The match (Commercial v Finance) was played at Harrogate Town’s stadium and was well supported by colleagues including a vociferous travelling contingent from Denmark. The match was evenly keenly contested with both defences performing well, backed up by commanding performance from the keepers. It was Finance who edged to victory, as a second half goal secured a 2-1 win.
H J Heinz Co Ltd - Held an Awareness Week at Head Office with a different activity every day, each of which focused on GroceryAid either by providing information or raising funds. The activities included a penalty shoot-out, a silent auction and a cake sale.
Kimberly-Clark - Following a very successful Awareness Week the company held an Awareness Ball to which all Head Office staff and their partners were invited. The evening involved a raffle and other fundraising games, with the proceeds going to GroceryAid. The after dinner speakers focused on the work of the charity.
KP Snacks - KP Snacks held an awareness day at their new head office in Slough. This included 'Bingo' featuring GroceryAid facts where those entered participated throughout the day, name the baby, a cake sale and much more. This helped to greatly raise awareness of GroceryAid and raised over £1000 on the day.
McCurrach UK Ltd - Had a GroceryAid stand at the McCurrach Annual Conference whereby people could find out more about the charity and speak with a representative from GroceryAid. As a follow-up a desk drop was carried out and an internal email sent to all colleagues.
Mars UK - Held an Awareness Day in the staff canteen which is used daily by Head Office and factory staff. GroceryAid cupcakes, goody bags, flyers and information about the charity were widely available. The GroceryAid film was shown and posters displayed about the work of the industry charity.
Mondelēz International - Several awareness events took place surrounding the Windermere Row, including a car wash, quiz night and bake sale. These were supported by internal communications about the Graduates team's participation in the Row.
PepsiCo - Have held a variety of events which included a 'Row-off' to select team members for the Windermere Row, a presentation at an internal conference to 200 colleagues and an Awareness Day. The Awareness Day included a raffle, 'wear your own football shirt', goody bags, menu and table talkers in the canteen and a series of internal communications.
Pernod Ricard UK - Two bottle sales were held at the Head Office with a selection of spirits and champagnes available from the company and their competitors. The proceeds were all donated to GroceryAid.
Waitrose Ltd - In 2014 more than 20 branches took part in a 'Partnership Day Challenge' during which colleagues ran, cycled and walked over 2014 miles in order to raise funds for GroceryAid. The team beat their sponsorship target by 150% and raised in-store awareness across a very large region.
