Having a job is a large part of your life. When you are in work however, you can be faced with many difficult issues, so it is essential to know where to turn to when you need a bit of extra help and guidance. Here you can find out more about the support GroceryAid can provide for apprentices, work related issues and how to solve any problems.
Applications are now open for apprentices who are looking for extra financial support while undertaking an apprenticeship at a grocery industry company. Working closely with the Food and Drink Federation (FDF) and The National Skills Academy (NSA), GroceryAid aims to support apprentices by offering up to £520 p/a which can be used to help with costs such as living expenses, accommodation, travel expenses, study material and equipment.
Job search support
If you are currently looking to get back into work GroceryAid can offer you guidance and support through our JobSearch support programme. We are working in partnership with Renovo, a UK provider of job search support to offer support to those in need within the grocery industry.
Our JobSearch programme is confidential and tailored to your needs and goals. It is available to those who have five or more years working in the industry and who may be looking to get back into work after for example redundancy, illness or caring for a relative. The programme offers direction, structure and guidance to individuals in their search in what is one of the toughest markets for decades.
